Your low-carbon transition

France, which emitted 408 MtCO2e in 2022, must pursue its objective of reducing greenhouse gas emissions to 80 MtCO2e by 2050 through its National Low Carbon Strategy (SNBC).

Would you like to be part of this collective effort ?

Or anticipate new regulations (CSRD climate standard) ?

The Bilan Carbone® is an excellent tool for understanding and reducing your organisation's carbon footprint.

It enables you to analyse the risks and opportunities of your activity, and identify areas for improvement for your company and its value chain.

Its main focus is on "who can act" rather than "who is responsible".

The approach is compatible with the french regulatory BEGES, the GHG Protocol and ISO 14069.

Plan and Rise carries out your carbon accounting and supports you in defining and implementing your low-carbon transition plan.

Carbon accounting

Scope definition : setting the objectives and defining the organisational and the carbon accounting scopes (most GHG emissions are often related to scope 3).

Identification of contributors to the success of the assignment.

Stakeholder awareness workshop : raising awareness about energy and climate challenges, reminding stakeholders of carbon accounting principles and presentation of the company's activity flow map.

This mapping provides a context for GHG-emitting activities and highlights the data to be collected for your carbon accounting.

Collecting activity data : this must be as reliable as possible to reduce the level of uncertainty. We support you throughout the data collection phase to ensure that it runs smoothly.

The data collected is processed, enriched and formatted for use in the emissions calculations.

It may be necessary to look for emissions factors that best reflect the company's activity.

Carbon accounting : the results are presented in the form of graphs showing the carbon footprint items, to make them clear and easy to understand.

Three levels of recommendations : immediate, priority and strategic.

Low-carbon transition plan

The aim of this stage is to co-construct an action plan to reduce your GHG emissions and prioritise the scenarios in line with your company's most significant sources of emissions.

In addition to energy and transport reduction levers, it is very often relevant to question the company and its value chain about eco-design, responsible purchasing, recycling or product end-of-life management.

The benefits in terms of reducing emissions will be quantified, and the costs, resources, implementation schedule and monitoring indicators will be defined.

This mitigation plan can be part of a reduction trajectory in line with the Paris agreements, following the targets set by the SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative).

Depending on the level of requirement, the transition plan can be developed using the ACT (Accelerate Climate Transition) step-by-step methodology.

Evaluation and adjustment of your GHG emissions mitigation plan : we evaluate the low-carbon transition plan against the initial GHG reduction targets or a more demanding trajectory in line with the Paris agreements.

If necessary, we redefine the actions to meet this new trajectory.

Adaptation plan : we analyse, quantify and prioritise your activities’ exposure to the risks and opportunities of climate change, and help you draw up an adaptation plan.
